Palau Pacific Resort, SHIMBROS Inc., Bento Bako and MGTM Catering to serve at PICRC’s 23rd Anniversary Gala Dinner

Preparations are underway and the Palau International Coral Reef Center (PICRC) is collaborating with Palau Pacific Resort (PPR), SHIMBROS Inc., Bento Bako and MGTM Catering to serve an exquisite dinner for its Annual Gala Dinner Fundraiser. The 23rd Gala Dinner will take place on the evening of January 18, 2024, on PICRC grounds.

Located at the tip of Ngerkesbesang, the Palau Pacific Resort is an eco-friendly resort with its very own Ngerkebesang Marine Protected Area at its beachfront property since 2002. They advocate for the protection of Dugongs, host Giant Clam out-planting with their guests and continue to run an eco-friendly compound, all the while providing their exceptional service “like no other island dream”. PICRC is delighted that PPR will be joining the Center’s anniversary celebration this year to serve a fine dining experience. The well-known resort will provide a menu line up dedicated to the Center’s event of the year. Ticket buyers will experience PPR’s specially designed three-course meal with entree options of beef, fish, or vegetarian.

A special thanks goes to SHIMBROS Inc., a longtime supporter of PICRC’s Annual Gala Dinner, for donating drinks for this event. SHIMBROS will be tending the bar with their brand signatures of Aloha Maid products and serving their best alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for the evening. SHIMBROS Inc. has been in Palau since the 1990s and continues to support the Center during its Annual Gala Dinner.

To build on the elegance of the night’s culinary ambiance Bento Bako will also be setting up their famous charcuterie board of cheese and crackers with their home-baked breads showcased on beautiful mahogany boards. Anisia Ereong Ngirailemesang, founder and owner of Bento Bako, is a local Palauan small business owner who caters a wide variety of events from private functions to official high-level setups.

Serving sashimi and poke chasers will be a local chef and self-made businessman Mr. Marco Malsol (famously known as “Tange”). Tange, owner of MGMT Catering, promotes pelagic fish for his catering services. He participates in many events and functions and continues to support local events with his catering, serving Japanese, Italian, Mediterranean, Greek, and Indian cuisines.

Tickets are on sale for $100 per person. To purchase a ticket or to make a donation, please contact our Administration office at (680) 488-6950/6953 or email [email protected]. The formal event will include showcasing the work of the Center with live entertainment. Please join us in celebrating the 23rd Anniversary of the Palau International Coral Reef Center!
