PICRC Welcomes New Boat Operator, Ngersel H. April

The Palau International Coral Reef Center (PICRC) is pleased to welcome Ngersel H. April as PICRC’s new Boat Operator and Maintenance Technician.

Ngersel brings years of experience navigating Palau’s oceans, having worked as a boat operator in the tourism industry since 2007. His professional and personal life has always revolved around the ocean, fostering a deep love for it. “I am really interested in our ocean life and how to keep it clean,” said Ngersel.

In his new role, Ngersel will be responsible for operating PICRC’s research vessels and conducting boat maintenance, enabling PICRC staff to conduct essential fieldwork in a safe and efficient manner. He is a quick learner and eager to gain new knowledge and skills at PICRC.

PICRC is excited to welcome Ngersel and looks forward to his contributions and achievements.
