Lorena Miyuki joins PICRC as Gift Shop Clerk

The Palau International Coral Reef Center (PICRC) is delighted to welcome Lorena Miyuki, from Peleliu, as the new Gift Shop Clerk for the Palau Aquarium’s Giant Clam gift shop.

Lorena graduated from Palau High School and studied for a year at Micronesian Occupational College (now Palau Community College). She then worked at the Palau Judiciary for 26 years, starting as an Accounting Clerk and rising to the role of Accounting Technician. Her dedication and expertise now enhance the operations of the gift shop, where she ensures every visitor has a memorable experience.

Lorena’s warm personality and enthusiasm make her a fantastic addition to the team. At PICRC, she enjoys interacting with colleagues and visitors, finding joy in meeting new people every day.

“Meeting people from different places and backgrounds is one of the highlights of my job,” Lorena shared. “It’s a pleasure to welcome visitors to the aquarium and help make their experience special.”
