PICRC Welcomes New Security Officer, Mr. Weis Tomoichi

The Palau International Coral Reef Center (PICRC) is pleased to welcome Mr. Weis Tomoichi as its new Security Officer.

Mr. Tomoichi graduated Palau High School majoring in Engine Mechanics. An avid sports fisher, he is passionate about the ocean eager to expand his skills. “My love for sport fishing drives my eagerness to learn about marine conservation and explore better ways to protect our ocean. I am excited to gain new knowledge and skills at PICRC,” he shared.

In his new role, Mr. Tomoichi will be responsible for securing PICRC’s premises and monitoring equipment to ensure a safe working environment. His work will help support PICRC’s researchers as they conduct essential fieldwork efficiently and securely.
