PICRC Bids Farewell to Longtime Security Officer Mr. Morton Sawaichi

The Palau International Coral Reef Center (PICRC) is pleased to announce the retirement of Mr. Morton Sawaichi, a dedicated and esteemed member of our team, who served as a Security Officer for the past 17 years. Mr. Sawaichi officially retired on February 26, 2025.
Mr. Sawaichi began his journey with PICRC on February 26, 2008, and since then has played a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of the Center, its staff, and visitors. His steadfast dedication, vigilance, and professionalism have left a lasting impact on the organization. To honor his exceptional service, PICRC hosted a farewell luncheon at the Palau Pacific Resort on April 15, 2025. The event was attended by CEO Ms. Roxanne Siual Blesam and colleagues from the administration department, who gathered to celebrate Mr. Sawaichi’s contributions and offer their heartfelt well-wishes.
“Mr. Sawaichi has been a steadfast and reliable presence at PICRC for nearly two decades,” said CEO Ms. Blesam. “His unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of our team has been truly commendable. We are deeply grateful for his many years of service and wish him all the best in his retirement.”As Mr. Sawaichi embarks on this new chapter, the entire PICRC community extends its deepest appreciation and warmest wishes for a happy, healthy, and fulfilling retirement.
