PICRC Welcomes Back Masasinge T. Hideos as Program Development Manager

The Palau International Coral Reef Center (PICRC) is excited to welcome Masasinge “Singeh” T. Hideos back to the Center as its new Program Development Manager. Hideos first joined PICRC in 2021 and worked with the Center through 2024 before pursuing a master’s degree in environmental science, which he is now nearing completion. His return marks both a professional milestone and a meaningful continuation of his commitment to supporting conservation and environmental stewardship in Palau.

As Program Development Manager, Singeh will support the development and coordination of PICRC’s projects and programs. His responsibilities include supporting research and program development, building and strengthening partnerships, identifying opportunities for funding and resource mobilization, coordinating projects across teams, and helping translate research and technical knowledge into meaningful actions for Palau.  This position will help bring together research, programs, partnership and resources to ensure that work across different areas is connected and aligned with PICRC’s broader goals.

Hideos’s return reflects the value of Palauans pursuing higher education, gaining new experience, and bringing that knowledge home to strengthen local communities and institutions. For Hideos, returning to Palau has always been part of the bigger picture, and returning to PICRC is especially meaningful.

PICRC continues to create opportunities for Palauans to lead in science, research, conservation, and environmental stewardship. “We are pleased to welcome Singeh back at PICRC and look forward to his contributions in strengthening the Center’s research across nearshore and offshore environments, while fostering engagements with our partners and stakeholders,” said PICRC’s CEO Roxanne Siual Blesam.
