The Palau International Coral Reef Center (PICRC) is Palau’s leading marine research and educational institution with a mission to be a Center of Excellence that produces high quality and impactful research, education, and opportunities to support stewardship of Palau’s ocean resources.

PICRC is seeking applicants for the position of a Communications & Outreach Officer. This position will focus on bridging PICRC’s efforts with the broader community. Key responsibilities include: working closely with researchers to translate data and findings into accessible materials for diverse audiences, such as students, educators, and policymakers; help curate engaging educational exhibits within the Palau Aquarium for local and international visitors; manage both internal and external communications, including the website, social media platforms, press releases, and the Center’s library; lead public awareness campaigns and events; and oversee collaborations with partners that promote ocean stewardship.

This position requires, at a minimum, a Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, social sciences, or a related field, along with at least two years of relevant experience. Candidates should possess strong writing, public speaking, and interpersonal skills, as well as a genuine passion for education, outreach, and environmental conservation.
